Made from 70% Tempranillo and 30% Graciano in the Basque region of Rioja Alavesa. All of the grapes are grown organically and only native yeasts are used. Aged for 18 months in barrel and two years in bottle before release. Full flavored, yet textured and not clunky on the palate. Suggestions of dark skinned stone fruit, slightly sharp tannin implying freshness. Spicy chocolate with a prolonged aftertaste. Have this with rabbit stew, with oxtail, or even lamb.
