Palate: Dry. Medium-bodied. Conveys a depth of complexity on the palate, from aged wood notes to bitter tannins with hints of sweetness & a long finish.
Vinification: Made only in the best vintages, from the oldest vineyards planted in alluvial clay-limestone soil along the Douro river. From vines that are limited in production, in order to secure concentrated grapes. Hand harvested, with rigorous selection of the ripest fruit. Fermented & rested in oak before being aged an additional 7 years in new & used French oak barrels.
