Nose: Soft and subtle influence of minerals, hay, and apricot.
Palate: Dry, medium-bodied, with a tart-yet-juicy core and some notes of stone fruit skins and a touch of VA. Goes down entirely too easy and is complex enough to withstand a meal too.
Vinification: Newcomer in the natural wine scene here in NYC - Eduard Pie is quickly gaining attention for his single varietal, single parcel natural wines in the Penedes. Grapes are hand-harvested. Maceration of the whole bunches in amphora during 12 days. Ageing for 1 month in amphora and then 4 months in stainless steel tank. Only 2425 bottles.
Recommended Food Pairing: Lamb burgers, roasted golden-beet salad with goat cheese, or smoked chorizo.
