The three barrels that Fernando de Castilla purchased of this rare Oloroso belonged to a batch stored in the private cellar of a prominent Jerez family for nearly 100 years. The wine has been used for family occasions for generations; while renovating their home in 2015, they decided to sell what was left.
Dark mahogany in color; the aroma is powerful and complex, with notes of oak and walnut. Full-flavored, intense and structured with a very long finish. This wine is without a doubt one of the oldest and most special sherries available today.
