Oriol Artigas is a young winemaker from the area of Alella only 15 km from Barcelona. A connoisseur of the area, he interprets the landscape with great skill and personality, working the vineyard organically and producing his wines in a natural, non-interventional way. This results in honest and transparent wines, which, thanks to a fascinating saline touch, express the full character of the Mediterranean climate.
El Rumbero is a red wine made with Syrah, Merlot and Red Grenache. Harvest is performed by hand. The Merlot grapes are pressed directly, the Grenache is destemmed and the Syrah is left intact. Then, they are stomped and left to macerate for 5 days with the skins. The grapes ferment in stainless steel deposits with native yeasts. Once the fermentation has ended, the wine rests on its fine lees for 10 months in the same deposits. It is bottled without clarifying nor stabilising or filtering and without added sulphur. A fruity, elegant and light wine. Intense on the nose, with ripe red fruit aromas that stand out and spicy notes. In the mouth, it is easy to drink, fresh and very expressive.
