Nose: Clean. Medium (+) intense. Notes of wild berries, black cherries, nutmeg & tobacco.
Palate: Dry. Full bodied with integrated tannins. Delivering plum, tobacco, chocolate and spices such as cinnamon & nutmeg on the palate. A well structured wine with depth.
Vinification: Marques de Griñón is an expert on Spanish wine & the founder of the Grandes Pagos de España. From vineyards planted in the early 1970’s in calcareous clay-loam soils, fermented in stainless steel & aged 12-18 months in French oak.
Recommended Food Pairing: Truffle ravioli or barbecue.
