A new fuller-bodied red from Navarra has entered the shop! A cepage of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Tempranillo, 30% Garnacha fermented in stainless steel and aged in 4-year old American oak for 14 months followed by 12 months (minimum) resting in bottle at the winery before release. 2011 is the current vintage and it is strong, rich, and very reminiscent to a classic Bordeaux. Dark savory fruit, gripping tannins, some hints on toast and smoke all blend into the background. A perfect wine for steak, ribs, and heavily sauced foods.
