Josep, the father of Joan, is credited for bringing Syrah to the region from France. Demeter certified biodynamic and EU certified organic. 65% Carignan, 25% Syrah, and 10% Grenache. Fermentation is with indegenous yeasts in concrete tanks followed by 12 months in old French oak barrels. Bottled unfiltered.
This is a rich, dark, and earthy wine that benefits from a good amount of air. Savory, mineral undertones show through as well as a good amount of gravelly tannin. Drink this with a big pot roast, or a brisket sandwich.
