A brand new wine from the Basque Country! Iñaki Guelbenzu (who works at Ameztoi) started Roxa (meaning rosé) in Navarra after convincing a retiring grape farmer in a town called Monteagudo to sell him 2 hectares of vines. 100% Garnacha grown on a marine bed of shells and fossils. This wine maintains its salty freshness and is barely 12% abv. Nice, light, and perfect with lobster, grilled artichokes, and smoky tomato tapenade over toasts.
