  • Variety: Oloroso and a bit of Pedro Ximénez sherry.

    Appearance: Garnet.

    Nose: Blood oranges with hints of clove and cinnamon. Notes of the Oloroso come through, as well as some light mint from the PX.

    Palate: Medium-dry. Softened in the midpalate by the PX, with busts of orange peel, as well as subtle nutmeg and clove. A nice balance between sweet and bittersweet.

    Vinification: Based on original recipes from the 19th century, the classic aperitif is a blend of 8-year old Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez from the century old cellars in Jerez. Selected macerated botanicals are added, including wormwood, clove, orange peel, savory, cinnamon, nutmeg, angelica and quinine. Highly recommended!

    Serving Suggestions: Pour into a rocks glass with fresh (larger) ice cubes. Tastes perfect on it's own, but could be mixed with club soda and garnished with an orange peel.
