Enric Soler Espenyalluchs 2015

  • Variety: Xarel-lo.

Appearance: Clear. Deep lemon with gold tones.

Nose: Clean. Pronounced fennel & lemon notes.

Palate: Dry. Medium-bodied. Toasted notes with honey, quince & subtle floral flavors on the palate. Fresh, with a long aftertaste. A not to miss wine for lovers of Chablis or mineral-driven

Vinification: From a small production, biodynamically farmed 1 hectare vineyard sourced from massale selections from the Nun vineyard. It’s a cool site at high altitude (300 m) on steep slopes at the limit of where Xarello can ripen in Alt Penedès. The vineyard faces northeast which gives an even longer hang time while preserving acidity in the fruit. Spontaneou fermentation then aged on the lees in a combination of concrete eggs and used French oak.

Recommended Food Pairings: Artichokes; mixed vegetables.
