Old vines between 55 and 75 years planted in sockets on granite and schist soils and located in the DO Ribeira Sacra (Galicia / Spain) at 320m above sea level. This is only the second vintage we’ve had of this bright and delicious, yet structured, Mencia and we couldn’t be happier with it. Medium-light body with nice acidity and fine grain wood tannin. Tiny production, between 800-2000 bottles and most recently seen by the glass at Eleven Madison Park. Serve cool, with any seafood or more elegant fare.
