Nose: Floral aromas mingled with cherry sauce, black licorice and strawberry.
Palate: Has traces of black pepper, cardamom, a streak of minerality & terrific acidity. Shows good intensity.
Vinification: Starting as a love project between Alvaro Palacios & his nephew Ricardo Perez, this wine has become the golden standard of the varietal. From hillside and hilltop vines across western Bierzo. This wine is vinified to express finesse and exhibit restraint. From cool climate, hillside vineyards with mineral rich soil & low yielding old vines making for a wine with great concentration and complexity.
Recommended Food Pairing: Pepper steak, pastrami or pepperoni pizza.
