Clos i Terrasses "Laurel" 2017 Priorat 1.5 Magnum

  • Varieties: Garnatxa, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon

    Appearance: Clear. Deep garnet.

    Nose: Clean. Pronounced red & dark fruit preserves, potpourri & Asian spices with mineral notes.

    Palate: Dry. Full-boded, with fresh structure. Some barnyard qualities, with juicy mixed berries, red cherry, and generously balanced length on the palate.

    Vinification: From biodynamically farmed vines planted in llicorella soil. Fermentation in a combination oak, concrete egg and clay amphorae. Aged for 16-18 months in 20hl French oak tanks, neutral 228L French oak barrels and clay amphorae.

    Recommended Food Pairing: Braised oxtail, slow-smoked brisket or pork, or oven-roasted winter vegetables with rosemary.
