  • The concept of terroir is of the utmost importance here at CastellRoig (ie: Castell-roych) and everything that winemaker Marcel Sabaté does is a massive labor of love. Never without his cheek-to-cheek grin, quite possibly the most endearing winemaker in the Penedes. He has studied every single grape and soil on his property and isolated all of his plots like a painter organizes their palette. Here we have his Brut Rosat - a Cava made of 70% Trepat and 30% Garnacha from organically-grown grapes planted on calcareous gravel. Aged on the lees for 18 months. This is a dry sparkling wine with clean aromas of red berries and long-lasting small bubbles. Perfect with all types of tapas, charcuterie and cheese board, or even a pasta salad. Basically it is perfect for just about any festivity.
