Nose: Very expressive nose with good complexity, red fruit & very ripe black fruit, almost jam. Chocolate, spices, coffee, balsamic & minerals.
Palate: Tasty, with ripe fruit on toasted notes predominating a fresh, balsamic combination with pleasantly spicy, polished tannins. A long & persistent finish.
Vinification: The benchmark wine of Jumilla. From the oldest vineyard on the estate-75 year old pre-phylloxera vines, planted in sandy clay-limestone soil. The wine is fermented in concrete tank & aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
Recommended Food Pairing: Short ribs, pork sausage & veal.
