This wine is awesome! Last vintage we only got 4 bottles and they virtually disappeared overnight. A rare white wine made by Diego Losada, a Bierzo native who, after working at a couple bigger wineries, went out on his own with his project La Senda (meaning “the path” or “the way”) in 2013. From 50% Godello, 30% Doña Blanca, 10% Palomino, 10% Malvasia. The wine is fermented in old open-top French oak barrels and sees 10 days of skin contact, then racked to neutral French oak barrels for 8 months of raising before being bottled without fining, filtration or added SO2. Organic, natural, unfiltered, cloudy and orange-hued. Get ready for a delicious wild ride. Can be served slightly chilled (not too cold) with or without food. Some type of cold Thai-spiced noodly dish would be pretty fantastic though.
