Varieties: 91% Garnacha, 8% Samsó, 1% White Grapes.
Appearance: Dense dark purple core with pinkish edge in color.
Nose: Pronounced & generous brambly aromas.
Palate: Silky and smooth with bright acidity and dancing freshness. Strikingly cool and elegant, with a very fine texture. Superb finish, full of promise for a terrific future ahead of it.
Vinification: Hand-harvested, farmed organically. From low producing vines, as old as 100 years old. De-stemmed & fermented in oak vats before being aged in new French oak for 18 months. There were 200 cases made. Essentially a pure Priorat (no Cabernet has been used in the wine since 2005). This expression of Priorat really is for lovers of delicacy, poise and refinement. There is little question that the 2015 vintage will be remarkable, with parallels being drawn to 2013.
Recommended Food Pairing: Beef, Lamb, Game (deer, venison), Poultry.
